I bought this simply as a precautionary measure to keep unwanted debris out of my keyboard for my new 15" MacBook Pro, because my last laptop I had not had a keyboard cover for and the keys quit working after a while unless I cleaned them out all the time because they got so full of dust, hair, and other debris and foodstuffs to fall into my keyboard. Also, my friend ended up spilling liquid all over hers and now her keys don't all work properly.
I have this cover, which I forget is on because it's so low profile and clear and awesome, and I am no longer afraid to eat while I compute because it prevents everything from getting in the keyboard, which makes me all kinds of happy.
It's practically invisible, I can shut the lid on it and it doesn't get in the way, and it allows for ALL buttons to be pushed with the same ease as without it, and the backlighting feature still gets to work just fine it fits better than a glove. The only way I can tell its on is by feeling it and it makes a cool noise, or that the black keys are all a slightly shinier shade...
Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars all around is because I don't think a piece of plastic as thin as this should be quit so expensive, but overall I'd have to say it's worth it. |
'Set it and forget it!'

| There's not much to tell about it - just perfect! Fits like a glove or a condom ;), like others say. Barely noticeable, elegant and practically flawless! My MBP 13' (2010 aluminum unibody)'s soul mate! It's a MUST! |
Excellent as usual

I've bought this product for my other Apple laptop and I consider this a must buy. You may not totally like the feeling of typing on a keyboard with a protector on...but this is one of the most unobtrusive protectors on the market and is OK. The real value is when you have your first accident...that moment when the coffee/can of drink is spilled over the computer. I know you shouldn't have drinks and food around your computers...but in an office...well it does happen!
The Moshi protectors are excellent...a good fit, well constructed and do protect your laptop from dust, finger grease and diet coke (or for those late nights - coffee)!
Is it worth the money? Well - if you never drop food or drink on your laptop and you work in a dust free office...then no...but the first time anything gets knocked over your laptop...it is worth every penny!
I would recommend this product to other users. |
Love it, but have to nitpick...

So there are PLENTY of good things to say about this product, and have been mentioned in pretty much all the other reviews before me, so I'm writing this just to warn potential buyers:
This guard does NOT stick or fasten itself to the keyboard in any manner, meaning it is essentially staying on top of the keys due to gravity. When you swipe a key from side to side, the whole thing lifts off out of place, but is easily corrected. This product claims to be spill protective, but it sure won't stop liquid from flowing in under the guard from the sides.
Just a warning. Besides that, I honestly enjoy this Moshi product immensely. The feel of it is fairly natural, until it flips out of place that is. Anyway, you've been warned! |
Great Product!

| Bought this for my 13" Macbook Pro. Fits great and is barely visible. The light shines right through it. I thought it was a little pricey, but it was definitely worth it. Now I have peace of mind that I won't get crumbs or dust in my keys! |
